Dietary

It is best to avoid sugars, fats, and refined foods. Basically, avoid junk food. Incorporate plenty of whole grains, raw fruits and vegetables, and cooked dried beans into your diet. Increase the amount of zinc in your diet by eating whole grain breads and cereals, fish, free range poultry, and a supplement of, zinc gluconate 30 to 80 mg daily. Aids in healing of tissue and helps to prevent scarring.

Caution: Has many side effects. Should be used only in more severe cases when other  treatments have failed. Do not use if pregnant. Can cause birth defects.
