Q's&A's |
||
Q - I'm a black woman. I don't have "brown spots" but I do have
areas of my face that are darker than other areas. Can these creams lighten them? A -
Absolutely. Uneven skin pigmentation is not uncommon - and both our Day and Night Creams
are geared to fade and lighten areas on Face and hands. Q - Can makeup be applied over the new Daytime Skin Lightener? Or can I use a sunscreen cream over the Skin Lightener? A - Yes. After cleansing, apply the Daytime Skin
Lightener - which also has moisturizing features - and then apply your makeup. Q - There are a number of fade creams on the market with hydroquinone. What makes your Night Cream superior? A - The difference is in the base. Hydroquinone is a crystalline substance which is the bleaching agent in most skin lightening creams. The FDA allows a maximum of 2% for non-prescription sales. But how well it's absorbed into skin is always the question mark. Jevelle's light cream base is a special blend that spreads and is absorbed easily. What's more, some users say they have had adverse reactions to some other hydroquinone creams, but ours had "no unfavorable reaction," and " worked better." The base must aid absorption and bleaching action as well as help fight against sensitivity. Q - I have been sensitive to other hydroquinone creams and am fearful of trying any such product. Can I use the new daytime skin lightener?
|
A - Such products generally contain 2% hydroquinone; as does our night cream. Thus, we suggest you don't use the Night Cream, but instead use our Daytime Lightener both day & night. This is because our Daytime Cream features mulberry and lime as lightening agents and only 1% hydroquinone. 1% makes a big difference in sensitivity reactions, however, it will take longer to see results with just the Daytime Lightener, but it will be safer for your sensitive skin. Q - Should I apply the Brown Spot Night Cream immediately before retiring? A - No. It would be best to apply it an hour or more before bedtime. Sleep movement could rub off the cream on pillows. Q - Why shouldn't 2% hydroquinone creams be used during daylight? I know one major brand that features sunscreen in their product. A - French researchers
assert that 2% hydroquinone requires the same precautions as Vitamin A acid (Retin-A). It
could cause irritation among many individuals if exposed to sunlight. Q - How long before I can expect to see results when using both the Day and Night Lightening Creams? A - The depth and
darkness of "brown spots" within the epidermis is the variable; so some spots or
discolorations are easier to lighten than others. Generally, however, after consistent
nightly use of Nighttime Fade Cream alone,
users reported a subtle fading of spots starting the 4th or 5th week. |
